An Egg Shaped Locket
Locket made in 18ct yellow gold opens into two halves with a curved profile along the edge. The front has a square section with 16 invisible set diamonds. On the reverse is a plume made in 18ct red, green and white gold which is inlaid but has a raised profile on the outside. The edge of the locket, front section, is channel set with black diamonds into 18ct white gold. The inside is separated by an 18ct red gold divider which has been inlaid with mother of pearl. The divider follows the curve of the opening to fit into place on the inside and is joined on the hinge to allow it to open and close. Y shape bail section is attached at the top on a ball bearing mechanism which allows the locket to rotate through 360 degrees. Polishing Gold Award at Goldsmiths' Competition.
